The nearly complete social of ME
Just got back from the orthopedic doctor. My toe is fractured & sprained. Stupid dog, she tripped me yesterday trying to get fed. So much for cute 4" purple heels for the next few weeks.
We are about to get gobsmacked with some craptastic weather. My mom and I took in all the loose stuff from the patio and are preparing to lose power tonight. I shall start by emptying the fridge of all tasty beverages, thus leaving room for essentials...
Waiting for Excedrin to kick in. Just sitting here with a pounding head. Waiting. I need a small cool quiet dark room to hide in for a bit - I've been writing WAY too much today.
I kind of want to go to the country club pool today, but I have too much to do today / this week / during my lifetime... The fact it's 100 degrees outside doen't help.
Looking forward to a Saturday of painting my new office studio &picking out carpet!
My little guy is down for the count - 104 fever. Off to the doctor's in a bit, fingers crossed it's "just" an ear infection. He's quite happy surviving on Gatorade when he's got fevers, but I think I'll pick up some fruit ice pops while we're out... Workday...
Played "Cards Against Humanity" tonight & never laughed so hard in my life. For the record, every card could read "Nickelback" and it would still be hysterical (and true).
Lovely. I think I broke a toe. Tripped over my dog this morning in her excitement to ZOMFG FEED ME excitement. Not really wanting to go to ER, I am just a bit too busy today...
Just watched Doctor Who "End of Time" & mad about giving up David Tennant for Matt Smith. I'm not sure I can watch any more episodes....

I just realized I will be at Poscamp East / Ignite Wilmington this Saturday during the Doctor Who fall season end episode. Nooooooooooooooooooo. I will be in the lobby at 9pm trying to find BBC America on a television.... Oh this is NOT good.

Heading to the Big Apple tonight for an A-lister business networking dinner. I think I'm the wildcard invite . I suppose I should go find something to wear that doesn't include yoga pants and free conference teeshirts...
I'm trying to work only 4 days a week... Ha! What I meant to say was I'm trying to work 6.5 days a week and leave my Friday mornings for fun things like laundry and food shopping while the kids are in school. So far so good - meaning no work ZOMG emergencies......
So it looks like I'm going to have a normal (no working) weekend. (Si long as I don't check my email from now to 6pm.) The husband and I have 'date night' on Saturday to see a friends band... but nothing else planned. What does everyone do for family...
My son has been keeping himself busy ALL morning with old padlocks, mismatched keys and some Amazon boxes he's fashioned into a TARDIS.
