The nearly complete social of ME
June 21 2013
Today is the first day of summer and the first day both my kids are home for summer break. (In fairness, my 5 year old is in preschool and goes back Monday.)
Rearranging schedules to accommodate kids at home takes a bit of juggling as a business owner. I realize it's much easier that I am my own boss rather than having to clock in at someone else's company. I made a calendar for the entire summer that helps my 11 year old see what her weeks will look like - summer camp, a California trip, days in my office and pool days (where I bring my laptop to the country club and let her swim while I work).
With the drastic shift in schedules, my kids seem to think especially when I'm working from home that I am able to pull whatever food they want out of the fridge on a whim. Sadly this is not the case. I made up this quick 'menu' of what they can expect to find at the Young Home Restaurant.
