I'm excited to see this interactive resource from +The New York Times on where you can find open beaches down the shore in New Jersey! Yes, there are many parts of the state that are still horribly battered from SuperStorm Sandy last year, but for the most part the boardwalks and rental properties are ready to go for summer 2013! I hope to get a week down the Jersey shore with my family this year.

A Survey of the Region’s Battered Beaches
With the unofficial start of summer looming, The New York Times looked at the state of the region's battered public beaches, in a survey covering three states and hundreds of miles of coastline, from Margate, N.J., to Stonington, Conn., and to the tip of Montauk, on Long Island.
